The discreet transplantant method for long-lasting full hair
“DHI Long Hair” is the most discreet and least invasive method of hair transplant because it does not require shaving – neither in the donor area at the back of the head nor in the recipient zone.
You will keep your usual hair length, which means that your transplant will initially not be noticeable to the outside world. This makes it easier for you to return to your normal lives immediately after your procedure. Any redness and crusts can be easily covered by the existing (longer) hair.

All the advantages of the DHI method also apply to “DHI Long-Hair” – gentle, nearly painless, quick to heal and with lasting results. However, this technique requires the most experienced doctors: Because it is much more difficult to remove individual follicles from an area of untrimmed hair and not to damage them in the process. The Extraction
This part of the transplantation can only succeed with huge expertise: follicles are removed from the donor area with its uncut hair – this requires greatest patience and precision by the doctor
After Extraction
The results are impressive: the remaining uncut hair in the donor area can cover the reddened spots caused by the removal, which makes the extraction hardly noticable.
THE Implantation
The surrounding hair can remain uncut also during implantation: With the help of the “DHI Implanter”, the doctor can precisely implant the removed follicles in between the existing longer hair so that this is not damaged.

The results after implantation guarantees full discretion because the surrounding longer hair can immediately cover the small reddish crusts …and all the way until about Day 10, when these crusts anyway disappear.

“DHI Long-Hair” – for extraction and Implantation
Our advanced instruments for extraction (a micropuncher) and for insertion (the “DHI Implanter”) are better suited than any other device for a hair transplantation without shave.
The extraction
Each hair follicle is carefully and individually removed from the donor zone using an electric micro-puncher. A small circular incision is made in the skin around a hair follicle, which is then removed with tweezers. This puncher is equally suited for a “DHI Long-Hair” extraction procedure
The Implantation
The “DHI Implanter”, our unique implantation pen, can place the transplanted hair precisely at the right angle in the recipient area even if the surrounding hairs are not trimmed. Importantly, the risk of the surrounding hair follicles being injured or destroyed is significantly lower with the DHI Implanter than when using a scalpel as other methods do.
What is there to consider when choosing “DHI Long-Hair”
The DHI Long-Hair method is the most sophisticated and demanding of all hair transplants: treatments are more difficult for the doctor and the assistants and take longer than transplants with shortened hair. All of this has advantages and disadvantages:
